Brexit. We can laugh

So, on my little stroll to work this morning I stopped at a set of traffic lights in Belgravia. Not much traffic about, apart from a big white transit van housing a couple of burly weather beat labourers on the opposite side of the lights. To my right a middle thirties blonde lady in a white top, aviator sunglasses and a blue skirt who’d decided to Boris bike it around town. A fairly peaceful scene until the labourers spotted the lady on the bike. A quick ‘wahey’ followed up by a little ‘England football’, tune played out on the transit vans horn. Instinctively and in rhythm with the tune I shouted ‘Brexit’ at the crescendo. A small pause between us all followed by everyone laughing but for very different reasons. One of the white van men held his arms a loft in victory, which added to the moment.
